You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using ResumeGlow, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

You may register using an email and password or through Google OAuth.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Description of the Service

ResumeGlow provides tools to:

Create, edit, and customize resumes with live preview
AI-tailor resumes to specific job descriptions using OpenAI
Generate cover letters and interview preparation Q&A
Export resumes in PDF format
Scrape and parse job postings from URLs

Features and availability may change at any time. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with or without notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in resumes or job applications
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or systems connected to the Service
Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service except through our provided interfaces
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (resumes, job descriptions, profile information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you submit. We do not verify the truthfulness of resume content.

6. AI-Generated Content

ResumeGlow uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI) to generate tailored resume content, cover letters, and interview preparation materials. You acknowledge that:

AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and may require your review and editing
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose
You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before using it in job applications or other professional contexts
AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate

7. Usage Limits & Subscriptions

The Service may include free and paid tiers with different usage limits for AI features and exports. Usage limits are enforced per account. We reserve the right to modify pricing and usage limits with reasonable notice. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Refund policies, if applicable, will be communicated at the time of purchase.

8. Job Posting Scraping

The Service may scrape publicly available job postings from URLs you provide to extract job description details. This feature is provided for your personal convenience. You agree to use it only for personal job search purposes and not for bulk data collection, competitive intelligence, or any purpose that violates the terms of the source website.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google (authentication), OpenAI (AI processing), Supabase (infrastructure), and Stripe (payments). Your use of these integrations is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by ResumeGlow and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMEGLOW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResumeGlow and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California. For users in Canada, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
